Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments –
- Public Comments will only be taken during the Public Comments section of the agenda.
- Must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation.
- Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda.
- Council may not comment publicly on issues raised that are not included on the current meeting agenda. On a subject that is not on the agenda, a person may request to add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting City Hall. The deadline for the request to be placed on an agenda for consideration must be received with all corresponding documents by 5pm the Wednesday before the regularly scheduled meeting.
- While civil public criticism is not prohibited; disorderly conduct or disturbance of the peace as prohibited by law shall be cause for the chair to terminate the offender’s time to speak.

b. Consider and/or approve a Resolution supporting City of Jefferson’s application to the Texas Department of Transportation’s 2025 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TA) call for projects.
c. Consider and/or approve the 2026 Employee Retirement Plan City Contribution Rate of 0.42%.
- ACTION ITEMS
a. Discuss, consider and/or approve Resolution adopting the updated FEMA 2024 Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan.
b. Discuss, consider and/or approve the Agreement between the City of Jefferson and Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for Engineer Services relating to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Trails Grant, Phase 1 for the amount of $66,964.
c. Discuss, consider and/or approve Contract for Services between the City of Jefferson and Willdan Engineering.
d. Discuss, consider and/or approve the Big Cypress Corvette Weekend to be held on June 4 – 6, 2026.
e. Discuss, consider and/or approve the opening of River Oaks Drive as it terminates into Barbara Andersons property.
f. Discuss, consider and/or approve designating the dead end of River Oaks Drive as a public beautification location to be maintained by Mildred Manning. (Reference: Signed protest of property owners requesting to keep River Oaks Drive a dead-end street)
g. Discuss, consider and/or approve asking JEDCO to fund up to $500,000 for water and gravity sewer improvements from Lake and Market to Vale and Dallas Streets.
h. Discuss, consider and/or approve the use of funds from the Oakwood Memorial Cemetery account to repair the road in Oakwood Memorial Cemetery with the same type of materials that are there now.
i. Discuss, consider and/or approve applying a 2” overlay to complete street maintenance repairs. Individual projects selected based on areas of high traffic use:

Discuss, consider and/or approve rescinding the City Council action taken on March 18, 2025: Action Item 8(d) approval of JEDCO’s recommendation to adopt a new policy for recruitment and appointment of JEDCO board members as well as a board membership application. Due to lack of a new recruitment policy and applications for appointments to JEDCO, authorize the city council members may make their appointment to JEDCO at this time.
