Notice is hereby given that a regular Meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on October 17, 2017 at 5:30 PM at the Jefferson City Hall located at 102 N. Polk St., Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed for the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Limited to citizens and business owners of the City of Jefferson, must sign up in advance on the list located near the door of the Council Chambers and must limit to 3 minute conversation. Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda. On a subject that is not posted on the agenda a person may add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting the City Administrator a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular City Council meeting.

b) Consider and/or Approve RESOLUTION 2017-10-01, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO PARTICIPATE AS PART OF THE CITIES ADVOCATING REASONABLE DEREGULATION IN PROCEEDINGS RELATED TO SOUTHWESTERN ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY’S APPLICATION TO RECONCILE FUEL COSTS SUBMITTED ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 28, 2017; AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF ATTORNEYS AND CONSULTANTS; DIRECTING THE ACTIVITIES OF LAWYERS AND CONSULTANTS REGARDING SWEPCO’S APPLICATION; REQUIRING REIMBURSEMENT OF REASONABLE LEGAL AND CONSULTANT EXPENSES; FINDING THAT THE MEETING COMPLIES WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT; AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT

g) Consider and/or Approve authorization for City Administrator to advertise for sealed bids for Cedarwood North Subdivision LOT NO. 25, UNIT 3 (.63 acre tract) and LOT NO. 26, UNIT 3 (.02 acre tract)
