Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on August 10, 2021 at 5:30 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Limited to citizens and business owners of the City of Jefferson, must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation. Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda. On a subject that is not on the agenda a person may add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting City Hall a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular City Council Meeting

a. Consider and/or approve financial reports
b. Consider and/or approve minutes from July 20, 2021 regular meeting and August 3,
2021 special meeting.
7. ACTION ITEMS
a. Discuss and approve event application for Krewe Event for Amanda Powell for
September 25-28, 2021
b. Discuss and approve required training aspects of elected and appointed officials
c. Discuss and approve Ald. Parsons nominations for Jedco and Tourism if council
deems that appropriate on prior action item.
d. Tabled item from Aug. 3rd Council Mtg-Discuss and approve changing Amburn’s
Jedco and Tourism nominees with a new Councilman being appointed vs elected
e. Consider and/or approve Special Event Application for Taste of Jefferson on October
17, 2021
f. Discuss, consider and/or approve payment to Johnson Collision Repair for damage to
Lena Pope’s vehicle and if approved what line item.
g. Discuss, consider and/or approve payment for plumbing service to Bulldog
Contractor for service at 108 E, Lafayette and if approve what line item
8. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Jefferson City Council reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the
Course of the meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by the Texas
Government Code.
