Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Council will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 6:30 PM at the COUNTY COURTHOUSE ANNEX COURT ROOM located at 114 W. AUSTIN STREET, 2nd FLOOR, JEFFERSON, TEXAS 75657 at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below.  Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice.  Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Limited to citizens and business owners of the City of Jefferson, must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation.  Jefferson City Council may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda.  On a subject that is not on the agenda a person may add an item to a future City Council Agenda by contacting City Hall a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular City Council Meeting. While civil public criticism is not prohibited; disorderly conduct or disturbance of the peace as prohibited by law shall be cause for the chair to terminate the offender’s time to speak.

b. Discussion on the procedure for an ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE JEFFERSON HISTORIC DISTRICT AND DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE JEFFERSON HISTORIC DISTRICT WITHIN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, TEXAS.

c. Discussion and assignment of Aldermen to help manage specific projects based on citizen feedback.

d. Discuss property management agreement between City of Jefferson and Nature Center, Inc. park, trestle, and river bank erosion on south side of river per Ald. Haggard & Ald. Hengst request.

e. Discussion of current City Hall and possible relocation per Ald. Haggard’s request.

f. Discussion and update on Texas Water Development Board project funding status and lead pipe replacement per Ald. Haggard’s request.
