NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2023-2024 Proposed Budget
The City of Jefferson will conduct a public hearing for the proposed operating budget for fiscal year 2023-2024 on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 6:30 pm. The adoption of the ordinance approving the budget will be immediately following the close of the public hearing on the proposed budget. The meeting will take place at 305 E. Austin St., Jefferson, Texas 75657.
This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $72,558, which is an 8.97 percent increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $17,136.
