PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Transportation Center at 305 E. Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas, at which time the subjects to be considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as listed below.  Items do not have to be taken in the order shown on the meeting notice.  Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified with the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

Public Comments – Must sign up in advance on the list and must limit to 3 minutes conversation.  Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission may ask questions but shall not discuss items that are not on the agenda.  On a subject that is not on the agenda a person may add an item to a future Planning and Zoning Commission Agenda by contacting City Hall a minimum of 5 days prior to a regular Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

a. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the December 5, 2023 Regular Meeting.

b. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the January 2, 2024 Regular Meeting.

c. Consider and/or approve the minutes of the March 5, 2024 Regular Meeting.

  1. ACTION ITEM

a. Consider, discuss, and/or approve Laura Omer’s resignation.

  1. DISCUSSION ITEM

a. Status of lamination of certain maps associated with the 2003 and included in 2017 Planning and Zoning groups.

b. Discussion of desirability for a detailed budget for Planning and Zoning for the 2024-2025 city fiscal year and what items need to be included.

  1. WORKSHOP

There will be no action taken during the workshop.  This agenda item is for a workshop to open the floor for discussion on the topics listed below. There will be no action taken on approving the discussion topics contained within the workshop at this time. Items may be placed on a future agenda for possible action at a later date.

a. Consider which of the 2003 maps can be omitted from coping / lamination.

b. Continuation of prior meeting discussions of the draft of city of Jefferson Zoning Regulations (printed April 15, 2003) Article I, Sections 1-10 and Article II, Sections 1-3.

c. Review of Vol 2, part of the Zoning Regulations of the 2017 Commission

  1. EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Jefferson Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the Course of the meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by the Texas Government Code.
